Fireworks

4th of July this past week for all of us - what a great time - each year we go down and see the fireworks on the mall - never get tired of the experience. Also each year they have the folklife festival - cool stuff - different countries represented each year - this year it was Virginia, Ireland and Makong.

So during the day - there was a tornado watch, not a warning - just a watch. Then the storms rolled in and during that time they had to evacuate the mall area - when I found out that they had to evacuate that area it made me think of the protective hand of God - because there I was at dinner inside, out of the rain - enjoying a nice meal of squab(pigeon - the restaurant is bistro francais in Georgetown - irony of eating at a french restaurant on 4th of July - would have been better to have eaten at a English type pub for the total irony - but the French will do) (btw- not great food but good food) (try matchbox - in Chinatown for some awesome pizza and sliders) - so back to the thought - am i being random - can you follow me? So, God protects us from the storms of this life - sometimes by keeping us out of them altogether and sometimes by protecting us as we go through them. So if you need a reason to thank God today - thank Him for protecting you from the storms(just think about all the storms God keeps us from, often when we aren't even aware).

talk at you soon.
